Week 8 Reflection
This week, we learned the basic ideas and operations of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) businesses, which are concerned with enhancing their local communities, economies, and environments. In addition, I realized how they created a sustainable business by successfully achieving all of their objectives in the aforementioned areas. Additionally, the triple bottom line encourages corporations to prioritize profit, people, and the environment equally. They are made Certified B Corporations thanks to these. I think it's pretty impressive of all the businesses to accomplish this sustainability.
"Triple Bottom Line (3 Pillars): Sustainability in Business" was the section I liked the best. This lesson may be summed up in a single video. I appreciate how they clearly explain the triple bottom line and use research to offer new perspectives. It teaches businesses a distinctive way of thinking about why they should integrate sustainability into their global operations. The triple bottom line is connected to people's planet profit, natural capitalism, life cycle assessment, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and biomimicry. This social innovation in business, in my opinion, is wonderful and opens up a variety of opportunities for a better world—both socially and economically.
As a result of its focus on advancing the common good and protecting the environment without sacrificing financial benefit, I believe CSR has gained popularity in recent years. Running a company with a social goal in mind and keeping one's pledges without exceptions from the beginning is the ideal choice for the market, investors, and social entrepreneurs. I have no doubt that new CSR with various objectives or targeted industries will emerge over time. Nevertheless, they are all focused on enhancing and advancing the market (economy), the environment, and people.
